Celebrate the festive Day of the Dead at Boyle Heights

Although, Día de los Muertos, famously known in the U.S. as “Day of the Dead,” has already passed, Boyle Heights is gearing up to commemorate it this weekend. On Saturday, you can join the celebration, now in its’ 44th year, at Self Help Graphics & Arts, located in the area. The festive night will include traditional ceremonial blessing, musicians from the Eastside, food vendors and crafts. The fiesta will also have live music from Almalafa Mexican Ska, tribute band Mariachi Manchester and a swarm of people dressed to the nines in their vibrant calaca outfits. The event will begin at 5 pm.
